Perform a roof inspection to assess for any damage and wear on your roof.
Contact the insurance company to get them involved in the process.
Complete the repairs or replacement once your claim is approved.
Even when you know you need a new roof, you might wait to get it fixed to avoid the hassle of dealing with the insurance company. We get rid of the headache by making the process simple for you. From start to finish, we work with you and the insurance company to ensure your roof is repaired or replaced in a timely manner and get every dollar you are legally entitled too. Insurance claims need to be reviewed and double checked line item by line item to make sure proper Xactimate codes are selected for pricing, measurements are accurate, activities performed are correct, code upgrades and in things are missed adding required supplements and even overhead & profit line to make sure your roof and damage is completed fairly. You need an experienced contractor that knows hail damage, storm damage, installation, materials and finally - take pride in workmanship -- just important -take pride claim with the claim handling process as well. You have a limited window of time to file a claim and another window to complete the work. If you elect to not do the work or miss things that should be done... it is very possible to recieve a notice of cancellation of your policy due to the unsatisfactory condition of your home when it comes time to renew your policy. The biggest mistake is to do nothing at all - make the call.

Big profits are made by denying and underpaying claims. Z Construction works tirelessly as a General Contractor (GC) to make sure your claim is handled in your best interest and not the insurance companies. Oklahoma Law supports payment of GCOHP. Policies typically support these payments and certainly do not prohibit it. Homeowners you are entitled to these payments so that a general contractor can complete a project, purchase materials, hire, coordinate, supervise and pay sub-contractors. G.C. also researches zoning, obtain permits, verify and follow code requirements. GC's also take on liability for failures, damage and back the services with a workmanship guarantee and carry additional may carry additional licensing, general liability, umbrella, commercial auto and other insurances for the Insured's protection along with additional overhead costs involved or as a cost of doing business in general (GCOP).
Burgess v. Farmers Ins. Co., Inc., 151 P.3d 92 (Okla. 2006).
The plaintiff argued that once a determination is made that three trades are necessary for the repair of the property, it is presumed that a general contractor is necessary to coordinate, supervise, and oversee the repair. Additionally, One trial court has held that the three -trade rule is an accepted industry standard. Cormier v. State Farm Gen. Ins. Co., Case No. CJ-2002-930 (Commanche County, Okla.). Majority view: "Payment is required" if GC is "Likely"
Roofing contractors in Oklahoma are now prohibited from waiving insurance deductibles now that a new law has taken effect Nov. 1. 2022. House Bill 1940, approved on March 30 by the state's senate, says that roofing contractors who are paid by property or casualty insurance proceeds cannot “advertise or promise to pay, directly or indirectly, all or part of any applicable insurance deductible” for providing any service.
Section 1151.30 - Offer to pay insurance deductible or to compensate for providing service
A residential or commercial roofing contractor providing repairs or improvement services to be paid by an insured from the proceeds of a property or casualty insurance policy shall not, as an inducement to the sale or provision of goods or services to an insured, advertise or promise to pay, directly or indirectly, all or part of any applicable insurance deductible or offer to compensate an insured for providing any service to the insured. If a roofing contractor violates the provisions of this section, the insurer to whom the insured tendered the claim shall not be obligated to consider the estimate prepared by the roofing contractor. Every roofing contractor shall provide a written notification of the requirements of this section with its initial estimate. The adjuster or insurer shall provide a written notification of the requirements of this section in the initial estimate relating to the claim.
Okla. Stat. tit. 59, § 1151.30
The APA compiles evidence of specific cases of fraud committed by engineers, adjusters and insurers, makes formal fraud complaints directly to AG offices and state fraud units.
The APA provides evidence of criminal and ethical violations to licensing boards of the engineer, adjuster or insurance company offender. The APA also arranges personal meetings with previously contacted State Senators, local Congressman and the Insurance Commissioner to advise them of the specific criminal acts against their constituent. While the APA’s ultimate goal is to discourage all methods of lowballing in the claim process, the APA targets acts that actually cross over from bad faith to the criminal act of fraud.
